Halloween Pumpkin Decorating and Lollipop Pull – October 18th

Location: Agway, 157 Cottage Street, Franklin MA
2020 – Golf Tournament, September 1st
Our annual golf tournament will again be held at Franklin Country Club (www.franklincc.com) while supporting the Wrentham Lions Club Charities.
We understand that this year’s outing will be different than previous years, however requesting you join friends and neighbors (proper social distancing of course) for a day of golf on one of the most prestigious golf courses in the area.
There will be food, prizes and a guaranteed good time! All proceeds support the Wrentham Lions Club Charities. For this outing we are doing something different:
EVERYONE PLAYS THEIR OWN BALL AND we have reduced the price to $120 per player!
Tournament is Rain or Shine
Registration 7:00 AM
Start 8:30 AM
Lunch 12:30 – 2:00PM
Prizes During Lunch
We will have prizes for the top three teams, as well as “most honorable” team and “best golf attire” Your fee includes: greens fees, golf cart, coffee and doughnuts and meal choice of a boxed lunch (you may select that morning).
2020 – 2021 King Lion – Rick MacKeen
Following all social distancing protocols, the 2020-21 installation of officers for the Wrentham Lions Club took place on June 25th.
For the first time in the clubs history, the event was held outside and generously hosted by former King Lion & lifetime member, Tom Ketchum.
Rick MacKeen, was installed as the 2020-21 King Lion with Jim Dymek, handing over the gavel.
We thank Jim for his leadership through these challenging Covid-19 times and wish Rick MacKeen every sucess as the new King Lion for the 2020-21 Year

2020 KPHS Leo Club Scholarships Recipients
This year, the Wrentham Lions Club was able to offer six scholarships to King Philip High School Leo Club members. The recipients of this award each receive $200 towards for their future education. We wish them great success in their college career

- Olive and James Damato Memorial Health Profession scholarship – Taylor Butler (Wrentham, KPHS Senior).
- Educational Opportunity scholarship – James Munn (Wrentham, Xaverian HS Senior).
- Phil and Mickey Scott Memorial Health Profession scholarship – Catherine DiGiacomo (Norfolk, KPHS Senior).
Thanks to the generosity of the scholarship donors, each recipient will receive a scholarships of $2000.

$2000 WRENTHAM LIONS CLUB EUGENE “SKIPPY” BROOKS MEMORIAL LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP – Essay Required – All KPHS graduating seniors living in Wrentham, and in need of financial assistance, who have demonstrated extraordinary community leadership qualities in an officer level capacity with a KPHS, or local, service organization. Other criteria include – minimum 3.0 GPA (provide transcript); accepted and planning to attend a four year accredited college or university; one reference from a club advisor, a teacher, or an adult leader from a local service organization; a 500 word (maximum) essay as to the importance of community service and how it has impacted the applicant’s life. $2000 WRENTHAM LIONS CLUB OLIVE AN JAMES DAMATO MEMORIAL HEALTH PROFESSION SCHOLARSHIP – Essay Required – All KPHS graduating seniors living in Wrentham in need of financial assistance and pursuing a career in a health related field. Other criteria include – minimum 3.0 GPA (provide transcript); accepted and planning to attend a four year accredited college or university; a 500 word (maximum) essay on what influenced the applicant’s decision to pursue a career in a health related field. $2000 WRENTHAM LIONS EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP – Essay Required – All graduating seniors and other adult residents living in Wrentham and in need of financial assistance to continue their education. This scholarship can be used by graduating seniors as well as adults seeking to continue their education and/or to prepare for a new career. Other criteria include – accepted and planning to attend a certified and accredited school; a 500 word (maximum) essay on the purpose of the scholarship request. (Wrentham Lions selects recipient)
$2000 WRENTHAM LIONS CLUB PHIL AND MICKEY SCOTT MEMORIAL HEALTH PROFESSION SCHOLARSHIP – Essay Required – All graduating seniors living in Wrentham, Plainville, or Norfolk, in need of financial assistance, and pursuing a career in a health related field. Other criteria include – minimum 2.5 GPA (provide transcript); accepted and planning to attend a four year accredited college or university; a 500 word (maximum) essay on what influenced the applicant’s decision to pursue a career in a health related field. Jan 1st, 2020 – New Years Classic 5K
Thanks to all the runners in the 2020 Run – look forward to seeing you all again next year.
Come join us for the 20th anniversary of the New Year’s Classic at the Eagle Brook Saloon. This is the 20th annual Wrentham Lions New Year’s Classic 5K. The fun, low key 5K includes a hearty and delicious breakfast from our generous host, The Eagle Brook Saloon, a pair of running gloves or a buff and all of the race proceeds support the many local charities of the Wrentham Lions. Come out and get your New Year started out on the right (or left) foot with a great run and the supportive running community of the New Year’s Classic.

Your registration covers the run, our cool swag and best breakfast in town. On line registration is $30 and registration on race will be $35. We hope to see all our wonderful regulars back to join us and hope you’ll bring friends.
